I want to remodel my home, but where do I start?
Reaching out to a trusted contractor to discuss your remodel is the first step. It helps to have an overall idea of what you want to accomplish prior to meeting with a contractor so that the scope of work is clear.
Once the scope of work is determined, the next step is creating a design layout and selecting the style of cabinets and materials you want for your kitchen, bathroom, closet, or other room.
Once a design is solidified, the contractor will prepare a detailed estimate of the cost of everything involved. This estimate typically includes, but is not limited to, demolition of your current area, taking out or moving walls/windows, flooring work, countertops, appliances, lighting, drywall, electrical, and plumbing.
Home remodeling can seem daunting at first, but the right contractor makes all the difference.
What services does ModerNash Design+ Build offer?
ModerNash is a full-service design + build firm which means we assist with both the design and building details of your remodel. Some firms only focus on design layouts and architectural drawings, and others only focus on building and construction.
ModerNash combines the two “under one roof” to create a seamless process where your dream kitchen can become a reality without the challenges of coordinating an independent design firm to communicate and work with an independent construction company.
What does the free studio consultation include?
During the ModerNash Design + Build consultation you will have the opportunity to discuss your project one-on-one with our lead sales and design pro at ModerNash’s studio in Cool Springs off Moore’s Lane in Brentwood.
Since the consultation is at our studio you are able to view various cabinet styles and materials, view constructed cabinet displays, and countertop options. Additionally, the scope of work for your project is discussed, and any questions you have are answered, along with general pricing questions for our design + build services.
How long does the studio consultation take?
Most consultations take between 30-45 minutes, but we’re more concerned with making sure all of your questions are answered and that you don’t feel rushed, so we don’t set a pre-determined time-limit unless you have time restrictions you need us to adhere to.
We want to make sure we understand what your needs are and help guide you to your next step. Sometimes that’s scheduling a home visit for measuring and further exploration, and other times that’s pressing pause. Either way, it’s an honor to serve and assist you in the beginning process of mapping out your remodel.
Am I obligated to anything after my free consultation?
No. We want to help you find the right options for your remodel. Taking the time to discuss and learn about your project as well as show you the cabinetry and countertop options available at our studio in Brentwood is the least we can do to guide you along your remodel journey.
If after the consultation you’d like to move forward with having ModerNash visit your home to take measurements and begin designing your dream kitchen, bathroom, closet, or beyond, we will schedule a time to make a home visit.
If you decide to wait to schedule a home visit, or want to consider other design + build options, we completely understand. We know the importance of making the right decision of who to partner with to accomplish your remodel goals, and many times it just takes time.
There is no pressure or obligation after the consultation to do anything further unless you decide to take the next step with ModerNash.
What brands of cabinetry do you offer?
ModerNash works with various cabinet makers to help meet each client’s unique needs.
Custom Cabinetry: Our custom cabinet partner is Cuisine Idéale. They are a family business that has offered distinctive luxury cabinetry for more than 50 years for kitchens, bathrooms, and closets.
Semi-custom Cabinetry: Our semi-custom cabinetry partners are Nieu Cabinet Doors, Semihandmade, Modern Twig, BoFronts, and Swedeboxx. Each company provides quality cabinet materials and although there are some limitations on customization compared to custom cabinetry, they offer exceptional value.
What is the typical lead time for cabinets once they are ordered?
Depending on the type of materials ordered, the size of the project, and amount of customization needed, our minimum lead time is 5 weeks, but can be up to 10 weeks for some orders.
What type of warranty comes with the cabinetry & construction services?
Our custom cabinetry line from Cuisine Idéale comes with a Lifetime Warranty with the exception of certain materials based on size. Our semi-custom lines provide standard manufacturer warranties ranging from 2 to 5 years depending on the company, material selected, and size of material.
